How to create an image gallery
This article explains how to add a gallery to your Saurus CMS website. Gallery in itself is a section with a specific content template, called "Gallery". Galleries have two tiers - albums and pictures. There can be any number of galleries on your website. Each gallery can have any number of albums and each album can have any number of pictures.
Step 1. Create a "gallery" section
Creating a gallery section is done through website editor section. When creating a new section choose a content templated called "Gallery".
Step 2. Create an album
Creating an album is done through website editor section: in gallery section there is a button "New album". Album shows pictures from one specific directory.
Later on pictures can be added to or removed from an album. There is also a button "Search new images" to scan the specified folder for new files, for example when image files are uploaded via ftp.
Reminder!
When deleting a picture from an album, the image file is also deleted.
