Saurus CMS Free

Saurus CMS Free package targets sites with up to 150 content items and comes as the name says, free of charge. Even better, the updates are free as well.

What can be done with it
Compared to our commercial versions of Saurus content management system, the free edition limits the amount of content items. Otherwise the functionality is exactly the same as in Saurus CMS SE package. See more at product comparision page.

Website sections, articles, forums and image galleries are counted in when calculating the number of content items. Files, images, file folders, comments and forum postings are not counted. Items in Recycle Bin and 17 system messages per each site language are included when counting.

For example you can maintain a one-language website with 7 sections (menus) each containing 5 sub-sections and each section holding 2 articles. Plus one section with 25 articles.

What you can not do
If you need to manage website with bigger content volume or need extended functionality, Saurus CMS SE and Saurus CMS commercial packages are available. We also offer wide range of add-on modules and extensions.

How to get it
  • Just download and install. No registration or license key is needed.
  • Saurus CMS Free installation and upgrades are free of charge.
  • You an upgrade Saurus CMS Free to any of the commercial versions by purchasing a license and obtaining a license key. You can use the key to register you product without reinstalling or upgrading.
  • You can not apply commercial add-ons like PowerTools to Saurus CMS Free currently. You should move upgrade to the commercial version at first.
  • You need Internet connection to install upgrade packages. Initial installation can be done offline.
  • Free edition is available since product version 4.2.

Support
Saurus does not offer any support to free edition, but we are maintaining and participating in Saurus users’ forum.
